   Turn off the phone

   Press and hold the power button, then select Power Off on the screen. Ensure the device is completely shut down before starting.

   Eject the SIM tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the pinhole on the left side of the phone. Push inward firmly to pop out the SIM card tray, then slide it out.

   Create a gap at the rear cover seam

   Insert a thin plastic opening pick into the seam between the rear cover and the display frame near the empty SIM slot.

   Unclip the rear cover

   Slide the plastic pick along the perimeter of the phone to release the plastic retaining clips. Do not pull the cover completely off yet.

   Tilt open the rear cover

   Gently lift the left side of the rear cover like a book. Take care not to strain the attached fingerprint sensor flex cable.

   Remove the fingerprint sensor bracket

   Unscrew the single Phillips #00 screw securing the metal bracket over the fingerprint sensor cable connector. Use tweezers to lift the bracket off.

   Disconnect the fingerprint sensor flex cable

   Use the flat end of a spudger to pry the fingerprint sensor flex cable straight up from the motherboard connector. Set the rear cover aside.

   Unscrew the loudspeaker cover

   Remove the seven Phillips #00 screws securing the bottom plastic loudspeaker housing to the lower frame.

   Remove the loudspeaker module

   Insert the edge of a spudger beneath the loudspeaker housing and pry upward to remove it from the device.

    Disconnect the main flex cable

    Use a plastic spudger to pop up the main interconnect flex connector from the charging daughterboard.

    Disconnect the antenna cable

    Use fine tweezers to gently pry the coaxial antenna cable head straight up off its connector on the daughterboard.

    Unscrew the daughterboard

    Remove the single Phillips #00 screw securing the daughterboard to the bottom of the phone frame.

    Remove the old daughterboard

    Pry beneath the daughterboard with a spudger to break any underlying adhesive, then lift it out of the chassis.

    Position the new daughterboard

    Set the replacement charging port board into the lower recess of the phone frame, ensuring alignment with the screw post.

    Secure the daughterboard screw

    Reinsert and tighten the single Phillips #00 screw to fasten the new daughterboard in place.

    Reconnect the antenna cable

    Align the coaxial antenna cable connector over its socket on the daughterboard and press down gently until it snaps into place.

    Reconnect the main flex cable

    Align the interconnect flex connector over the daughterboard socket and press straight down until you feel a click.

    Reinstall the loudspeaker module

    Lower the loudspeaker housing back over the daughterboard area and press down to align it with the screw holes.

    Secure the loudspeaker screws

    Replace and tighten the seven Phillips #00 screws into the loudspeaker module.

    Reconnect the fingerprint sensor flex cable

    Hold the rear cover near the motherboard and press the fingerprint sensor flex connector onto its socket.

    Attach the fingerprint bracket

    Place the metal bracket over the fingerprint cable connector and secure it with its single Phillips #00 screw.

    Snap the rear cover back on

    Align the rear cover onto the phone frame and press firmly along all edges until every clip snaps securely into place.

    Reinsert the SIM tray

    Slide the SIM tray back into its slot on the side of the phone until it sits flush against the frame.
