Remove the SIM tray

Disconnect the fingerprint sensor

2 minDisconnect the interconnect cable and lift the lower charging port board out of the bottom housing.

Scrub circuit boards with alcohol
10 minSubmerge the motherboard and daughterboard in 99% isopropyl alcohol and gently scrub all visible liquid residue and corrosion using a soft brush.

Dry the circuit boards
15 minBlot the cleaned boards with a lint-free microfiber cloth and allow them to air-dry completely for at least 30 minutes in a well-ventilated area.

Inspect board components under magnification

Reinstall the main boards
