Power Off the Device
1 minPress and hold the power button on the right side of the phone. Select Power Off on the screen and wait for the device to shut down entirely.

Remove the SIM Card Tray
1 minInsert a SIM eject pin into the small hole next to the SIM tray on the upper left side. Push firmly until the tray pops out, then remove it completely.

Create a Gap in the Back Cover
2 minInsert a thin plastic opening pick into the seam between the plastic rear cover and the front display assembly near the SIM card slot.

Unclip the Rear Cover Clips
3 minSlide the plastic pick along the entire perimeter of the phone to pop open the plastic retaining clips.

Partially Lift the Rear Cover
2 minCarefully swing open the rear cover from the right side like a book cover. Do not lift it fully away, as the fingerprint sensor flex cable is still connected.

Remove the Motherboard Shield Screws
2 minUse a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the screws securing the plastic motherboard protective cover at the top of the phone.

Detach the Motherboard Shield
1 minInsert a spudger beneath the edge of the motherboard cover and gently pry it up to remove it from the phone.

Disconnect the Fingerprint Cable
1 minUse the flat end of a plastic spudger to pry the fingerprint sensor press-connector straight up from its motherboard socket.

Set Aside the Rear Cover
1 minLift the rear cover completely off the phone body and place it in a safe area.

Unscrew the Loudspeaker Assembly
2 minRemove the Phillips #00 screws holding the loudspeaker housing down at the bottom of the device.

Remove the Old Loudspeaker
1 minWedge a spudger under the edge of the loudspeaker assembly and lift it out of the phone frame.

Position the New Loudspeaker
1 minSet the replacement loudspeaker module into the lower cavity of the frame and press down gently until it sits flush.

Secure the Loudspeaker Screws
2 minReinstall and tighten all Phillips #00 screws to hold the new loudspeaker assembly firmly in place.

Reconnect the Fingerprint Cable
1 minAlign the fingerprint sensor press-connector over its motherboard socket and press firmly until it clicks into place.

Reinstall the Motherboard Shield
2 minPlace the upper plastic shield back over the motherboard and secure it using its original Phillips #00 screws.

Snap the Rear Cover Closed
2 minAlign the rear cover with the phone body and press firmly along all edges until every clip snaps shut.

Reinsert the SIM Card Tray
1 minSlide the SIM card tray back into its slot on the side of the phone until it sits flush with the frame.
