Power Off the Device
1 minPress and hold the power button, then select Power Off on the screen to shut down the phone.

Eject the SIM Card Tray

Unclip the Rear Cover

Remove the Loudspeaker Assembly
2 minPry up the loudspeaker module using a plastic spudger and lift it out of the phone frame.

Disconnect the Interconnect Cable
1 minUse the edge of a spudger to pop off the main motherboard-to-daughterboard ribbon cable connector from the sub-board.

Disconnect the Antenna Cable
2 minGently pry up the coaxial antenna cable head from its socket on the bottom microphone board using precision tweezers.

Remove the Microphone Sub-Board
3 minSlide a plastic spudger under the lower board holding the primary microphone and lift it out of the recess.

Install the New Microphone Board
2 minSet the replacement sub-board into place in the bottom compartment and press down lightly to seat it.

Reconnect Antenna and Interconnect Cables
2 minAlign and snap the coaxial antenna cable onto its connector, then reconnect the main flex cable to the sub-board.

Reinstall the Loudspeaker Housing
3 minPosition the loudspeaker assembly back over the bottom sub-board and reinsert the Phillips screws to secure it.

Reconnect Fingerprint Cable and Snap Cover On
4 minAttach the fingerprint sensor flex cable to the motherboard, align the rear cover, and press firmly around the edges until all clips snap closed.
