Power Down the Device
1 minPress and hold the power button, then tap Power Off on the screen. Ensure the device is fully shut down before proceeding.

Eject the SIM Tray
1 minInsert a SIM eject pin into the hole on the left edge of the phone. Push firmly inward to pop out the tray and remove it.

Unclip the Rear Housing
3 minInsert a plastic opening pick into the seam between the screen glass assembly and the plastic rear cover near the SIM slot. Gently slide the pick along the edge to release the plastic snaps.

Slice Around the Perimeter
3 minContinue sliding the opening pick around all corners and sides of the frame to unclip the back cover completely.

Disconnect the Fingerprint Sensor
2 minCarefully flip open the back cover from the right side like a book. Use a plastic spudger to pop the fingerprint reader connector off the logic board.

Unscrew the Logic Board Cover
4 minUse a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the 11 screws holding down the plastic logic board shield.

Remove the Logic Board Shield
2 minInsert a spudger under the edge of the plastic upper shield and gently lift it off the chassis.

Disconnect the Battery Cable
1 minLocate the battery flex connector on the left side of the logic board and pry it straight up using a plastic spudger to cut power.

Disconnect the Display Ribbon
1 minPry up the display flex cable connector from its socket on the lower right section of the logic board.

Disconnect the Interconnect Cable
1 minUse the pointed end of a spudger to unseat the main board-to-board flex cable connecting the logic board to the daughterboard.

Disconnect the Antenna Coaxial Cable
2 minUse precision tweezers to pry up the gold head of the white antenna cable near the bottom-right corner of the board.

Unplug the Rear Camera
2 minPry the rear camera module flex cable straight up from the motherboard to release it.

Unplug the Front Camera
2 minDisconnect the front-facing camera flex cable and carefully lift the camera out of its recess in the frame.

Pry Up the Logic Board
2 minInsert a flat spudger underneath the lower edge of the logic board and gently pry upward to release it from the frame clips.

Remove the Logic Board
1 minGrasp the logic board by the edges and carefully lift it out of the chassis, taking care not to snag any surrounding cables.
