   Remove SIM Card Tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool or thin pin into the hole on the left edge of the phone. Press firmly to eject the tray and remove it completely.

   Unclip the Rear Cover

   Insert a plastic opening pick into the seam between the rear cover and the frame near the charging port. Pry around the perimeter to release the plastic clips holding the cover.

   Disconnect Fingerprint Sensor

   Slightly tilt the rear cover up to expose the fingerprint flex cable. Use a spudger to pry the connector straight up from the motherboard.

   Use a Phillips #000 screwdriver to remove the screws securing the upper motherboard cover. Organize the screws by location to ensure correct reassembly.

   Remove Top Midframe Shield

   Unscrew Loudspeaker Module

   Locate the wide display ribbon cable attached to the motherboard. Pry the connector straight up to disconnect it.

    Heat Display Assembly

    Apply heat to the front perimeter of the display screen using a heat gun or hair dryer on low heat for two minutes. Softening the adhesive makes screen removal safer and easier.

    Attach Suction Cup

    Press a suction cup firmly onto the lower portion of the front glass screen. Ensure a tight seal against the surface.

    Slice Display Adhesive

    Pull up on the suction cup to create a small gap between the glass and frame. Insert an opening pick and slide it along all four edges to cut through the adhesive.

    Remove Damaged Screen

    Lift the front display panel off the frame, threading the display flex cable carefully through the frame slot.

    Clean Frame Residue

    Scrape remaining adhesive off the inner ledge of the phone frame using a spudger. Wipe the frame clean with isopropyl alcohol and a microfiber cloth.

    Apply Frame Adhesive

    Line the perimeter ledge of the frame with narrow double-sided adhesive strips. Peel off the protective backing tape to expose the sticky surface.

    Reconnect Display and Battery Cables
