Eject the SIM tray
1 minInsert a SIM eject tool into the pinhole on the side of the device. Push firmly until the tray pops out, then remove it.

Pry off the back cover
3 minInsert an opening pick into the seam between the back cover and the display frame. Slide along the edges to unclip the rear cover.

Remove upper midframe screws
3 minUse a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove all screws securing the upper motherboard shield.

Unclip the motherboard shield
2 minInsert a spudger under the edge of the plastic motherboard cover and pry up gently to remove it.

Disconnect the battery flex cable
