   Power off device

   Press and hold the power button, then select Power Off on the screen. Ensure the device is fully shut down before proceeding.

   Remove rear cover

   Insert a plastic opening pick or nail into the seam notch at the bottom edge and pry the plastic back cover off.

   Remove battery

   Lift the removable battery out of its well using the fingernail recess at the bottom.

   Remove SIM and microSD cards

   Slide out any installed nano-SIM or microSD cards from their respective slots.

   Unscrew top motherboard shield

   Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the screws securing the upper plastic motherboard cover.

   Remove upper motherboard shield

   Gently insert a spudger under the upper motherboard cover and lift it off the frame.

   Unscrew lower speaker assembly

   Remove the Phillips #00 screws holding the loudspeaker enclosure at the bottom of the phone.

   Pry up the loudspeaker module using a spudger and set it aside.

   Disconnect screen flex connector

   Use the flat end of a plastic spudger to pop the main display ribbon cable connector off the motherboard.

    Heat front glass perimeter

    Apply heat evenly around the outer edges of the screen using a heat gun on low for 2 minutes to soften adhesive.

    Attach suction cup

    Press a suction cup onto the lower third of the front display to gain leverage.

    Slice screen adhesive

    Pull up on the suction cup and slide an opening pick between the glass and frame to slice the adhesive seal.

    Separate screen assembly

    Carefully tilt the screen up and guide the display flex cable through the slot in the midframe.

    Clean frame recess

    Scrape off residual glue and broken glass bits using a spudger, then wipe the rim clean with isopropyl alcohol.

    Apply display adhesive strips

    Lay pre-cut double-sided adhesive strips neatly along the left, right, top, and bottom borders of the frame.

    Thread new display cable

    Guide the ribbon cable of the new replacement screen through the frame slot.

    Align and seat display

    Position the display in the frame, aligning all edges, and press gently around the border to secure it to the adhesive.

    Reconnect screen ribbon cable

    Align the flex connector over its socket on the motherboard and press down firmly until it snaps into place.

    Reinstall upper motherboard shield

    Place the top motherboard cover in position and secure it with its Phillips #00 screws.

    Reinstall lower speaker module

    Set the loudspeaker assembly back into the bottom housing and fasten the reserved Phillips screws.
