Step-by-step

Power down the phone

Remove the rear cover
2 minInsert a plastic pry tool into the notch at the bottom edge and pry the rear cover away from the chassis.

Remove the battery

Remove the front camera
2 minDisconnect the front camera flex connector with a spudger and lift the module out using tweezers.

Remove the rear camera assembly
3 minUnplug the dual rear camera press connectors and lift the camera module out of its recess.

Remove the logic board screw
2 minUnscrew the single Phillips #00 screw holding the logic board to the internal midframe.

Lift out the logic board
2 minGently insert a spudger under the top edge of the logic board and lift it out of the chassis.

Position the new logic board
2 minPlace the replacement logic board into the frame, aligning it with the screw hole and plastic mounting pegs.

Reconnect internal components
4 minReattach the front camera, rear camera assembly, display cable, and sub-board interconnect cable to their board connectors.

Reinstall motherboard cover and battery
3 minSecure the top plastic cover with its Phillips screws, reinsert the battery, and snap the rear cover back onto the phone.
