   Power Off Phone

   Press and hold the power button on your Moto E6 Plus, then select Power Off on the screen. Ensure the device is fully shut down before starting.

   Remove SIM Card Tray

   Insert a SIM eject pin or paperclip into the hole next to the SIM tray. Press gently until the tray pops out, then remove it completely.

   Insert Opening Pick

   Insert a thin plastic opening pick into the seam between the rear cover and the display frame, starting near the micro-USB charging port.

   Unclip Bottom Edge

   Slide the pick along the bottom edge of the phone to disengage the plastic retention clips.

   Continue sliding the plastic pick along the left side of the device to pop the side clips loose.

    Use the flat end of a plastic spudger to pry the battery flex cable connector straight up from the motherboard.

    Warm Battery Adhesive

    Apply mild heat to the rear lower housing with a heat gun or hair dryer for 1 to 2 minutes to soften the adhesive beneath the battery.

    Leverage Battery Free

    Insert a flat plastic spudger under the bottom edge of the battery and carefully pry upward.

    Remove Old Battery

    Lift the battery out of the frame chassis once the adhesive breaks.

    Clean Recess

    Apply a few drops of isopropyl alcohol to a cloth and clean out any old adhesive residue inside the battery compartment.

    Apply Battery Adhesive

    Place new double-sided battery adhesive strips directly into the battery well.

    Set the replacement battery into the frame recess and press firmly to bond it to the adhesive.

    Attach Battery Flex Cable

    Align the battery flex cable over its connector socket on the motherboard and press down until it snaps into place.

    Place the upper plastic motherboard shield back onto the top section of the frame.

    Tighten the Phillips #000 screws back into the motherboard cover until snug.

    Align the rear cover with the phone body and press firmly along all edges until every clip snaps shut.
