Power Off Phone
1 minPress and hold the power button, then select 'Power Off' on the screen. Ensure the device is completely powered down before proceeding.

Eject SIM Tray
1 minInsert a SIM eject tool into the pinhole next to the SIM tray. Push firmly until the tray pops out, then slide it out.

Unclip Back Cover
3 minInsert a plastic opening tool into the seam between the back cover and the screen assembly. Pry gently around the edges to release the plastic retaining clips.

Disconnect Fingerprint Sensor
2 minCarefully tilt open the back cover without pulling on the fingerprint ribbon cable. Use a spudger to pry the sensor connector straight up from the motherboard.

Unscrew Loudspeaker Module
2 minUse a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the screws securing the bottom loudspeaker housing. Store the screws safely for reassembly.

Remove Loudspeaker Module
2 minInsert the flat end of a spudger beneath the loudspeaker housing. Pry upward to detach and remove it from the device frame.

Disconnect Interconnect Cable
1 minUse a spudger to gently lever up the main interconnect flex cable connector from the daughterboard at the bottom.

Disconnect Antenna Cable
1 minGrasp the antenna cable head using tweezers and carefully lift it straight up to disconnect it from the daughterboard.

Remove Old Sub-Board
2 minInsert a spudger beneath the daughterboard holding the defective primary microphone. Pry gently to break the mild adhesive and lift the board out.

Clean Microphone Opening
2 minInspect the microphone channel port at the bottom of the phone frame. Clear away any accumulated dirt or debris using tweezers.

Install Replacement Sub-Board
2 minPosition the new daughterboard into the lower housing, ensuring the microphone aligns with the port opening. Press gently to seat it.

Reconnect Antenna Cable
1 minAlign the antenna cable connector over its socket on the new daughterboard. Press down gently until it snaps securely into place.

Reconnect Interconnect Cable
1 minAlign the interconnect flex cable connector over the daughterboard socket. Press down firmly until you hear a soft click.

Reinstall Loudspeaker Module
2 minSet the loudspeaker housing back over the daughterboard. Replace and tighten all screws using your Phillips #00 screwdriver.

Attach Fingerprint Sensor Cable
2 minHold the back cover close to the phone frame and press the fingerprint sensor flex cable connector onto the motherboard.

Snap Back Cover On
2 minAlign the back cover with the frame and press firmly around all edges until the plastic clips lock securely.

Reinsert SIM Tray
1 minSlide the SIM card tray back into its slot until it sits flush with the side of the device frame.
