Power Off the Phone
1 minPress and hold the power button until the options menu appears, then tap Power Off. Ensure the screen turns completely dark before continuing.

Eject the SIM Tray
1 minInsert a SIM eject tool or straightened paperclip into the hole next to the SIM tray. Push firmly to pop the tray out and remove it.

Unclip the Back Cover

2 minInsert the flat end of a spudger under the edge of the motherboard shield. Gently pry up to unclip and remove it from the housing.

Remove Logic Board Retaining Screws
2 minUnscrew the remaining Phillips #000 screws holding the logic board to the inner chassis.

Pry Up the Logic Board
3 minInsert a spudger under the bottom edge of the logic board and gently lever it upward out of the phone body.

Transfer the Camera Modules
4 minDisconnect the front and rear cameras from the old logic board using a spudger. Reattach them immediately to the new replacement logic board.

Position the Replacement Logic Board
2 minAlign the replacement board over the chassis screw posts. Press down gently until it rests flat inside the frame.

Reconnect All Antenna and Flex Cables
3 minSnap the coaxial cable back onto its socket using tweezers, then press the display and interconnect flex connectors firmly into place.

Secure the Board and Reconnect Battery
3 minFasten the board with its retaining screws, then press the battery flex cable firmly into its socket to restore power.

Reinstall Shield and Reassemble Housing
4 minSnap the fingerprint flex cable into place, reinstall the plastic motherboard shield with screws, and snap the rear cover back onto the frame.
