   Power Off the Device

   Press and hold the power button on the right edge of the Moto E6 Play, then select Power Off on the screen.

   Eject the SIM Tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the small hole on the upper-left side of the phone to release and remove the SIM card tray.

   Unclip the Back Cover

   Insert a thin plastic opening pick into the seam between the rear cover and screen bezel, then slide along the perimeter to release the internal clips.

   Disconnect Fingerprint Sensor Cable

   Slightly lift the rear cover and use a plastic spudger to pop the fingerprint reader press connector off the motherboard.

   Remove the Back Cover

   Lift the rear cover completely off the phone body and place it safely on your work mat.

   Unscrew Speaker Assembly

   Use a Phillips #000 screwdriver to remove the seven screws securing the plastic speaker cover at the bottom of the device.

   Remove Speaker Housing

   Pry beneath the edge of the speaker module using a spudger and lift it out of the rear frame.

   Disconnect Interconnect Flex Cable

   Use the flat end of a spudger to pry straight up on the main flex cable connector attached to the daughterboard.

   Disconnect Antenna Coaxial Cable

   Grasp the antenna cable head with tweezers and gently pry it upward from its socket on the charging sub-board.

    Unscrew Charging Daughterboard

    Remove the single Phillips #000 screw holding the small charging daughterboard to the bottom chassis.

    Pry Up Daughterboard

    Slide a spudger under the daughterboard assembly to separate the light adhesive underneath, then remove it.

    Apply Liquid Flux

    Dispense a small drop of liquid flux over the four anchor legs and rear pins of the micro-USB port on the board.

    Desolder Damaged USB Port

    Apply heat to the port anchor legs using a soldering iron while gently pulling the old port off with tweezers.

    Clean Circuit Board Pads

    Lay desoldering wick over the remaining solder on the PCB pads and pass the heated iron over it to clear excess solder.

    Solder Replacement Micro-USB Port

    Position the new charging port onto the circuit pads, apply fresh solder to the anchor legs, and carefully solder each data pin.

    Reposition Daughterboard

    Align the repaired daughterboard into the bottom slot of the phone chassis and press down firmly.

    Secure Daughterboard Screw

    Replace and tighten the single Phillips #000 screw that secures the daughterboard in place.

    Reconnect Flex and Antenna Cables

    Snap the main interconnect cable connector into place and reattach the coaxial antenna cable head with tweezers.

    Reinstall Speaker Housing

    Set the speaker module back over the bottom sub-assembly and reinsert the seven Phillips #000 screws.

    Connect Fingerprint Sensor

    Hold the rear cover near the motherboard and press the fingerprint flex cable connector straight down to lock it.

    Snap Rear Cover On

    Align the plastic back cover with the frame and press firmly around all edges until every clip snaps shut.

    Reinsert SIM Card Tray

    Slide the SIM card tray back into the slot on the left frame until flush with the body.
