Power Off the Device

2 minSlide a plastic opening pick into the gap between the rear cover and the outer frame.

Slice the Rear Adhesive
4 minSlide the pick around all four edges of the back cover to cut through the perimeter adhesive.

Lift the Back Cover
2 minGently swing the back cover open to the left, taking care not to strain the fingerprint sensor cable.

Disconnect the Fingerprint Cable
2 minUse a plastic spudger to pop the fingerprint reader connector straight off the motherboard socket.

Remove Lower Speaker Screws
3 minUse a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the six screws securing the lower loudspeaker cover.

Pry Out the Speaker Assembly
2 minInsert the edge of a spudger under the notch of the loudspeaker housing and lift it out of the chassis.

Install the New Loudspeaker
2 minPosition the replacement speaker assembly into the lower recess and press down lightly until it sits flat.

Secure the Speaker Screws
3 minReinstall and tighten the six Phillips #00 screws to hold the loudspeaker assembly firmly in place.

Reconnect the Fingerprint Cable
2 minAlign the fingerprint sensor flex cable connector over its motherboard socket and press down until it clicks.

Reseal the Back Cover
3 minAlign the back cover with the phone frame and press firmly around all edges to adhere it securely.

Reinsert the SIM Tray
1 minSlide the SIM card tray back into its slot on the side of the device until flush.
