   Press and hold the power button, then select Power Off on the screen before beginning disassembly.

   Pry off rear cover

   Insert a plastic opening tool into the notch on the bottom edge to release the rear cover clips.

   Apply heat evenly around the screen borders using a heat gun for two minutes to soften the underlying adhesive.

    Attach suction cup

    Place a suction cup onto the lower third of the front display glass and press firmly to seal.

    Insert opening pick under screen

    Pull up gently on the suction cup and insert an opening pick beneath the glass edge once a small gap appears.

    Slice perimeter display adhesive

    Slide the opening pick around all four edges of the display to break the remaining adhesive seal.

    Detach screen assembly

    Lift the screen away from the frame while carefully threading the display flex cable through the slot in the chassis.

    Clean frame adhesive residual

    Scrape off residual glue from the frame bevels using a spudger and wipe down with 91% isopropyl alcohol.

    Apply display adhesive strips

    Lay down fresh double-sided adhesive strips along the top, bottom, and side bezels of the phone frame.

    Thread new display flex cable

    Feed the flexible ribbon cable of the new screen through the frame slot toward the motherboard.

    Align and seat screen

    Position the new screen onto the adhesive-lined frame and press gently around the perimeter to set it.

    Reconnect display cable

    Press the display flex connector directly onto the motherboard header until it clicks into place.

    Reattach plastic midframe

    Set the midframe over the motherboard and press firm along the sides to re-engage all plastic clips.
