   Power Off the Device

   Press and hold the power button on the right side of the phone. Tap Power Off on the screen and wait for the device to shut down completely.

   Remove the Back Cover

   Insert a plastic opening pick into the notch on the bottom edge of the phone. Pry gently around the perimeter until the rear cover unclips and detach it.

   Remove the Battery

   Insert your fingernail or a plastic spudger into the notch at the bottom of the battery compartment. Lift the battery up and remove it from the device.

   Remove SIM and MicroSD Cards

   Slide the SIM card and microSD card out of their respective slots above the battery bay.

   Unscrew Lower Frame Screws

   Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the five screws securing the lower loudspeaker assembly.

   Detach Loudspeaker Assembly

   Insert a spudger under the notch on the loudspeaker housing. Pry upward gently to release the clips and remove the speaker cover.

   Disconnect Daughterboard Interconnect Cable

   Use the flat edge of a spudger to pry the main flex connector straight up off the lower daughterboard.

   Disconnect Antenna Coaxial Cable

   Grasp the antenna cable head with precision tweezers and pull straight up to disconnect it from the daughterboard socket.

   Remove Daughterboard Assembly

   Insert a plastic opening tool underneath the bottom edge of the lower daughterboard containing the microphone. Carefully pry it up out of the chassis recess.

    Transfer Microphone Rubber Boot

    Check the old microphone port for the small rubber gasket boot. Using tweezers, transfer this rubber boot onto the primary microphone of the replacement daughterboard.

    Clean Microphone Port Recess

    Inspect the microphone channel inside the lower frame. Remove any dust or debris using a cotton swab lightly dampened with isopropyl alcohol.

    Install Replacement Daughterboard

    Align the replacement daughterboard over the bottom frame recess. Press down gently until it sits flush within the phone body.

    Connect Antenna Coaxial Cable

    Position the antenna cable head over its socket on the new board. Use tweezers or your thumb to press down firmly until it snaps into place.

    Connect Daughterboard Interconnect Cable

    Align the press connector of the main interconnect flex cable over its matching socket. Press straight down until you feel a distinct click.

    Reinstall Loudspeaker Assembly

    Place the lower speaker housing over the daughterboard assembly and press down along the edges until all plastic tabs snap shut.

    Fasten Lower Frame Screws

    Reinsert and tighten the five Phillips #00 screws to secure the speaker housing.

    Reinstall Cards and Battery

    Slide the SIM and microSD cards back into their designated slots, then align and press the battery into the compartment.

    Attach Rear Cover

    Align the rear plastic cover over the phone frame. Press firmly along all edges until the clips snap completely closed.
