   Remove SIM tray

   Insert the SIM eject tool into the small hole beside the SIM card tray on the left side of the phone. Push inward firmly to eject the tray, then slide it completely out.

   Unclip back cover

   Insert a plastic opening pick into the seam between the screen frame and back cover near the SIM slot. Slide the pick around the perimeter to release the plastic clips.

   Disconnect fingerprint sensor

   Slightly lift the back cover, taking care not to strain the ribbon cable. Use a spudger to press off the fingerprint reader connector from the motherboard.

   Remove upper shield screws

   Use a Phillips #000 screwdriver to remove the screws holding the plastic upper motherboard cover in place.

   Lift off upper shield

   Insert a spudger under the edge of the upper plastic motherboard cover and gently pry it off the device.

   Disconnect battery cable

   Use the flat end of a plastic spudger to pry the battery flex cable directly up from its socket on the motherboard.

   Remove speaker housing screws

   Use your Phillips #000 screwdriver to remove all screws securing the lower loudspeaker assembly at the bottom of the phone.

   Remove speaker housing

   Insert a spudger beneath the corner of the loudspeaker module and lift it up out of the frame.

   Disconnect main flex cable

   Pry up the lower connection of the main interconnect flex cable from the sub-board using a spudger.

    Disconnect antenna cable

    Use tweezers to carefully pry up the head of the white coaxial antenna cable from its terminal on the sub-board.

    Pry out sub-board

    Insert a flat spudger under the microphone sub-board and lift it carefully off the adhesive holding it to the chassis.

    Install new sub-board

    Align the replacement sub-board with the bottom compartment and press it down into place.

    Connect antenna cable

    Use tweezers to position the coaxial antenna cable head over its socket on the sub-board and press down gently until it snaps into place.

    Connect main flex cable

    Align the main interconnect cable connector over the socket on the sub-board and press down firmly until it clicks.

    Reinstall speaker housing

    Place the loudspeaker housing back over the sub-board and secure it with the Phillips screws removed earlier.

    Reconnect battery cable

    Press the battery flex connector straight down into its motherboard socket until it clicks.

    Attach back cover

    Reconnect the fingerprint reader cable, snap the upper shield back on with its screws, and firmly press the back cover onto the phone frame around all edges.
