Power Off the Device
1 minTurn off the phone immediately to prevent electrical short circuits caused by moisture.

Remove the Rear Cover
2 minInsert a plastic prying tool or fingernail into the notch at the bottom edge and lift off the rear plastic cover.

Remove the Battery
1 minLift the battery out of its compartment from the bottom recess and set it aside.

Eject SIM and MicroSD Cards
1 minSlide out the SIM card and microSD card from their respective slots to prevent corrosion beneath them.

Remove the Lower Daughterboard
3 minUnscrew and lift the lower daughterboard containing the USB charging port out from the chassis.

5 minDip the soft brush in isopropyl alcohol and thoroughly scrub inside the micro-USB port and surrounding components.

Dry the Components
15 minBlow remaining alcohol off the boards using compressed air and let all parts air-dry completely for at least two hours.

Reinstall Boards and Flex Cables
5 minPlace the dried daughterboard and main motherboard back into the frame, then reconnect all ribbon cables securely.

Reassemble and Test Device
5 minReattach the midframe with its screws, insert the battery, snap on the back cover, and power on the phone.
