Step-by-step

Power Down Phone
1 minPress and hold the power button, then select Power Off on the screen. Ensure the device is fully shut down before proceeding.

Remove Back Cover
1 minInsert a plastic prying tool or your thumbnail into the notch on the edge of the back cover. Gently pry the cover up and remove it from the phone.

Remove Battery

Eject Cards
1 minSlide out any installed SIM card and microSD card from their respective slots.

Remove Midframe Screws
3 minUse a Phillips #000 screwdriver to remove all 10 screws securing the plastic midframe panel.

Unclip Midframe
2 minInsert a plastic spudger between the front display glass and the plastic midframe outer bezel. Slide around the perimeter to release all retaining clips.

Remove Midframe Assembly
1 minLift the rear midframe away from the chassis.

Pry Out Loudspeaker
2 minInsert tweezers under the edge of the speaker module located at the bottom of the midframe. Pry the old speaker out of its housing.

Install Replacement Loudspeaker
2 minPosition the new loudspeaker module into the recessed chamber in the lower midframe. Press down gently until it sits flat and the golden contacts face outward.

Align Rear Midframe
2 minPosition the midframe back onto the phone body. Press along all edges until you hear the plastic tabs click securely into place.

Secure Midframe Screws
3 minReinstall and tighten the 10 Phillips #000 screws evenly across the midframe.

Reinstall Battery and Cards
1 minSlide your SIM card and microSD card back into their slots, then push the battery back into its compartment.

Snap Back Cover
1 minAlign the plastic back cover with the phone body and press firmly around the entire outer boundary until fully sealed.
