Turn off the device
1 minPress and hold the power button, then select Power Off to prevent electrical shorts.

Pry off back cover
2 minInsert a plastic opening tool into the notch at the bottom edge of the phone and unsnap the metal rear cover.

Remove SIM and microSD cards
1 minSlide out any installed Nano-SIM and microSD cards from their slots to prevent liquid damage to the cards.

Unscrew midframe cover
4 minUse a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove all screws securing the internal plastic midframe assembly.

Remove midframe panel

5 minScrub the daughterboard, USB port cavity, and ribbon cable ends with isopropyl alcohol to remove residue.

Dry all circuit boards
15 minPlace the cleaned boards on a lint-free wipe and allow them to air dry completely for 15 to 30 minutes.

Reinstall motherboard and daughterboard
4 minPlace the dry daughterboard and motherboard back into the chassis and reattach the coaxial antenna cable.

Reconnect flex cables and battery
3 minSnap all flex connectors firmly onto the motherboard, reinsert the battery, and attach its power cable.

Reattach midframe and rear cover
4 minSecure the midframe cover using the Phillips screws, snap the back cover on, and test the device power.
