Power off the device
1 minPress and hold the power button, then select Power Off on the screen. Ensure the phone is fully turned off before starting the repair.

Remove the back cover
2 minInsert a plastic prying tool or fingernail into the notch at the bottom edge of the back cover. Pry the cover away from the chassis to release the plastic clips.

Eject the SIM and SD card
1 minSlide out the Nano-SIM and microSD cards from their respective slots. Set them aside safely on your workspace mat.

Unscrew the lower speaker housing
3 minRemove the Phillips #00 screws securing the lower speaker assembly frame. Group these screws together so they are easy to reinstall.

Pry up the speaker housing
2 minInsert the flat end of a spudger under the edge of the lower speaker housing. Gently lift and remove the housing from the frame.

Disconnect the main flex cable
2 minUse a spudger to gently pry the lower interconnect flex cable connector straight up from the daughterboard. Be careful not to strain the ribbon cable.

Disconnect the antenna coaxial cable
2 minUse precision tweezers to pry the antenna cable head straight up off its socket on the daughterboard. Carefully push the cable aside.

Remove the microphone daughterboard
3 minPry gently beneath the edge of the lower sub-board with a plastic opening tool. Lift the board—which contains the integrated primary microphone—out of the phone.

Insert the replacement daughterboard
2 minPosition the new daughterboard into the lower recess of the phone frame. Press down lightly until it rests flush inside the cavity.

Reconnect the antenna coaxial cable
2 minAlign the antenna cable head directly over its socket on the new board. Press down gently until you feel it click into place.

Reconnect the main flex cable
2 minPosition the main flex connector over its socket on the lower sub-board. Press down firmly on the connector until it snaps closed.

Reinstall the speaker housing
2 minPlace the lower speaker assembly frame over the daughterboard. Press around the edges to align it properly with the phone frame.

Secure the speaker housing screws
3 minReinstall the Phillips #00 screws into the lower speaker housing. Tighten them hand-tight until snug.

Reinsert the SIM and SD cards
1 minSlide the Nano-SIM card and microSD card back into their designated card slots. Ensure they sit flat and fully inserted.

Snap on the back cover
2 minAlign the rear cover with the phone body and press firmly along all edges. Ensure every clip snaps securely shut around the perimeter.
