   Power off the phone

   Press and hold the Power button, then tap Power Off on the screen. Ensure the device is fully shut down before proceeding.

   Remove the SIM card tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the hole next to the tray on the left side of the frame. Push firmly to pop the tray out and remove it.

   Heat the rear cover

   Apply a heated iOpener or heat gun to the edges of the rear cover for two minutes. Keep the heat source moving to avoid thermal damage.

   Insert an opening pick

   Press a thin plastic opening pick into the seam between the rear panel and the frame near the SIM slot. Work carefully to avoid cracking the panel.

   Slice perimeter adhesive

   Slide the pick around all four edges of the rear cover to separate the adhesive and unlatch the plastic perimeter clips.

   Remove the rear cover

   Lift the rear cover straight up from the phone chassis. Place it face down on a clean work surface.

   Unscrew the speaker module

   Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the screws securing the lower loudspeaker assembly. Organize the screws so they are not lost.

   Pry up the loudspeaker module

   Insert the flat edge of a spudger beneath the upper lip of the loudspeaker housing. Pry upward gently to release it from the frame.

   Lift out the speaker module

   Remove the old loudspeaker assembly from the bottom of the device chassis. Set the old part aside.

    Clean the sub-board contact pads

    Dampen a cotton swab with 99% isopropyl alcohol and gently wipe the gold contact pins on the sub-board. Allow the area to dry completely.

    Position the new loudspeaker

    Align the new loudspeaker module over the sub-board at the bottom of the frame. Ensure the spring contacts align properly.

    Snap the loudspeaker in place

    Press down evenly along the edges of the module until it clicks flush into the phone frame.

    Secure the speaker screws

    Reinstall the Phillips screws into the loudspeaker assembly until snug. Avoid overtightening to prevent stripping the plastic threads.

    Apply back cover adhesive

    Peel away old adhesive residue from the inner perimeter of the frame and place fresh double-sided tape along the edges.

    Reattach the rear cover

    Align the back cover with the frame and press firmly along the edges until the internal clips engage securely.

    Reinsert the SIM tray

    Slide the SIM card tray back into its slot on the left side of the phone until it sits flush.
