Power down the phone
1 minPress and hold the power button, then select Power Off on the screen to completely shut down the device.

Eject the SIM tray
1 minInsert a SIM eject tool into the pinhole on the upper left side of the phone and push firmly to pop out the tray.

Heat the rear cover
2 minUse a heat gun or hair dryer on low heat to warm the back panel edges for 1–2 minutes to soften the adhesive seal.

Attach the suction cup
1 minPlace a suction cup near the bottom edge of the back panel and pull upward to create a tiny gap.

Insert an opening pick
2 minPush a thin plastic opening pick into the seam between the plastic rear cover and the phone frame.

Slice the rear adhesive
3 minSlide the pick carefully around all four edges of the back cover to cut through the perimeter adhesive.

Remove the rear cover
