Step-by-step

Power Down and Remove SIM Tray
2 minTurn off your Moto E32 completely. Insert a SIM eject tool into the tray hole to release and remove the SIM card tray.

Heat the Rear Cover
3 minUse a heat gun or hair dryer to warm the edges of the rear cover for 1 to 2 minutes to soften the adhesive.

Attach Suction Cup
1 minPress a suction cup firmly near the bottom edge of the rear cover.

Slice Rear Cover Adhesive
3 minPull up on the suction cup to create a gap, then insert an opening pick beneath the rear cover edge.

Remove Rear Cover
4 minSlide the pick around all sides to cut through the remaining adhesive, then lift and remove the rear cover.

Unscrew Lower Loudspeaker Housing
3 minUse a Phillips #000 screwdriver to remove the screws holding down the bottom speaker module.

Remove Loudspeaker Module
2 minInsert a spudger under the edge of the loudspeaker cover and lift it away from the chassis.

Disconnect Interconnect Flex Cable
2 minUse the flat end of a spudger to pry up and disconnect the main interconnect ribbon cable from the sub-board.

Disconnect Antenna Cable
2 minGently pry up the coaxial antenna cable head from its socket on the sub-board using tweezers.

Pry Up Microphone Sub-Board
3 minInsert a spudger under the edge of the sub-board containing the primary microphone and pry it out.

Install Replacement Microphone Board
2 minPosition the new microphone sub-board into the lower compartment and press it flat into place.

Reconnect Antenna Cable
2 minAlign the coaxial antenna connector over its socket and press down firmly with tweezers until it snaps into place.

Reconnect Interconnect Cable
2 minAlign the main flex cable connector over the sub-board socket and press down firmly to secure it.

Reinstall Loudspeaker Module
3 minPlace the loudspeaker cover back over the sub-board and tighten the Phillips screws securely.

Reseal Rear Cover
4 minApply new precut adhesive to the perimeter of the frame, then press the rear cover back into place.
