Power Off the Device
1 minPress and hold the power button, then select Power Off on the screen before beginning any work.

Remove the SIM Card Tray
1 minInsert a SIM eject tool into the hole on the left side of the frame and push firmly to eject the tray.

Heat the Rear Cover
2 minApply a heated iOpener or heat gun around the edges of the back panel for two minutes to soften the adhesive.

Insert Opening Pick
2 minAttach a suction cup near the bottom edge, pull upward slightly, and slide an opening pick under the seam.

Slice the Rear Cover Adhesive
3 minSlide the plastic pick carefully along all four edges of the back cover to detach the internal clips and adhesive.

1 minUnplug the main display and motherboard interconnect flex cables that run directly over the battery.

Apply Isopropyl Alcohol
2 minDrip a small amount of high-concentration isopropyl alcohol along the top and bottom borders of the battery.

Pry Up the Battery
4 minInsert a plastic opening card beneath the battery edge and gradually lever it upward from the adhesive recess.

Remove the Old Battery
1 minGrasp the old battery by its edges and lift it out of the device body.

Clean Remaining Adhesive
2 minWipe away leftover adhesive residue from the metal frame using isopropyl alcohol and a lint-free cloth.

Apply New Adhesive Strips
2 minPeel and stick fresh battery double-sided adhesive strips into the recess on the phone chassis.

Install the New Battery
2 minPosition the new battery in the recess and press down firmly across its surface to secure it to the adhesive.
