   Eject SIM Tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the hole beside the SIM tray on the left edge. Push firmly to pop the tray out, then slide it completely free.

   Heat Back Cover

   Apply a heat gun on low or a hairdryer along all edges of the rear panel for two minutes. This softens the factory adhesive holding the cover.

   Slice Back Adhesive

   Place a suction cup on the lower back cover and pull upward to create a slight gap. Insert an opening pick into the gap and slide it along the perimeter.

   Remove Back Cover

   Lift the rear plastic panel away from the main frame. Set it aside on a clean work surface.

   Unscrew Upper Housing

   Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the screws securing the upper motherboard shield.

   Pry Off Upper Bracket

   Insert the flat end of a spudger under the motherboard shield edge. Gently pry up to unclip and remove the protective bracket.

    Locate the display flex cable on the motherboard board. Pry the connector straight up using a plastic spudger to disconnect it.

    Heat Display Glass

    Warm the front screen perimeter evenly with a heat gun for 2 to 3 minutes to loosen the screen adhesive.

    Attach Suction Cup

    Press a suction cup near the bottom edge of the glass display. Pull upward firmly to create an opening between the glass and the plastic frame.

    Slice Screen Perimeter

    Insert a thin opening pick into the gap between the glass and frame. Carefully slice around all four sides of the display assembly.

    Separate Damaged Screen

    Lift the display assembly up off the phone frame while guiding the attached flex cable through the slot in the frame.

    Clean Frame Recess

    Scrape remaining adhesive and broken glass away from the inner frame using a plastic tool and isopropyl alcohol. Ensure a clean, smooth mounting surface.

    Apply Display Adhesive

    Lay fresh pre-cut double-sided adhesive strips along the recessed border of the phone frame. Press the strips firmly to adhere.

    Route and Position Display

    Feed the new screen flex cable through the slot in the midframe. Carefully align and drop the replacement display panel into the frame.

    Connect Screen Cable

    Align the display flex connector directly over its socket on the motherboard and press down until it clicks softly.

    Press the battery cable socket connector back onto the motherboard board to restore power functionality.

    Reinstall Covers and Screws

    Place the top motherboard bracket and bottom loudspeaker back into position. Drive all Phillips screws back in until snug.
