   Eject the SIM Tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the hole beside the SIM card slot. Press firmly to release the tray and pull it completely out of the device.

   Heat the Back Cover

   Use a heat gun or hair dryer on low setting to warm the outer edges of the rear cover for two minutes. This softens the internal adhesive strips.

   Attach the Suction Cup

   Press a suction cup onto the lower third of the rear plastic cover near the charging port. Pull up gently to create a small gap along the bottom edge.

   Insert an Opening Pick

   Push a plastic opening pick into the gap created between the rear panel and the phone frame.

   Slice the Perimeter Adhesive

   Slide the pick around all four edges of the device to cut through the adhesive tape and release the plastic retaining clips.

   Lift the Back Cover

   Gently swing open the rear panel from the right edge like a book. Do not pull it away completely yet, as the fingerprint sensor cable remains attached.

   Disconnect Fingerprint Flex Cable

   Use the pointed end of a spudger to pry the fingerprint reader flex connector straight up off the motherboard.

   Remove Bottom Housing Screws

   Remove the seven Phillips #000 screws securing the lower speaker speaker enclosure over the daughterboard.

   Remove Speaker Enclosure

   Insert a spudger beneath the top edge of the speaker enclosure and pry up to detach it from the chassis.

    Disconnect Main Interconnect Cable

    Pry the bottom main ribbon cable press-connector straight up from its socket on the daughterboard.

    Disconnect Antenna Coaxial Cable

    Grasp the black antenna cable head with tweezers and pull it straight up off the daughterboard connector.

    Pry Up the Daughterboard

    Slide a flat plastic spudger under the bottom daughterboard containing the primary microphone and lever it out of the frame adhesive.

    Transfer Microphone Gasket

    Peel the small rubber microphone acoustic sleeve off the old board using tweezers and slide it onto the replacement microphone.

    Install the New Daughterboard

    Position the new daughterboard into the bottom frame cavity and press down until it sits flat.

    Reconnect Antenna Coaxial Cable

    Align the antenna cable head over the golden socket on the daughterboard and snap it down gently into place.

    Reconnect Main Interconnect Cable

    Align the main flex connector over the board and press down firmly until you feel a light click.

    Reinstall Speaker Enclosure

    Place the lower speaker enclosure back over the daughterboard assembly and press down until the plastic clips snap shut.

    Secure Bottom Screws

    Reinstall and tighten the seven Phillips #000 screws into the speaker enclosure.

    Reconnect Fingerprint Sensor

    Hold the back cover close to the phone and press the fingerprint sensor flex cable connector onto its motherboard socket.

    Reattach Back Cover

    Align the back cover over the frame and press firmly along all edges to seat the clips and re-engage the adhesive.
