   Power Off Device

   Press and hold the power button, then select Power Off on the screen. Ensure the device is completely powered down before continuing.

   Eject SIM Tray

   Insert the SIM eject tool into the pinhole on the left side of the frame. Push firmly to pop out the tray, then remove it completely.

   Heat Rear Cover

   Apply heat along the edges of the plastic back cover using a heat gun or iOpener for approximately two minutes. Keep the heat source moving to avoid melting plastic components.

   Create Edge Opening

   Attach a suction cup near the bottom edge of the back cover and pull upward gently. Insert a plastic opening pick into the seam between the frame and back cover.

   Release Back Cover Clips

   Slide the opening pick along the perimeter of the phone to unlatch the plastic retention clips. Exercise caution around the power key to avoid damaging the fingerprint flex cable.

   Remove Back Cover

   Lift the plastic back cover away from the midframe and place it aside.

   Unscrew Speaker Enclosure

   Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the screws securing the lower speaker cover over the charging sub-board.

   Pry Out Speaker Module

   Insert the flat end of a spudger under the notch of the lower speaker assembly. Lever it up gently and lift it away from the phone body.

   Disconnect Battery Cable

   Pry the battery connector flex cable straight up from its motherboard socket with a plastic spudger. Disconnecting the power source prevents shorts during assembly replacement.

    Disconnect Main Interconnect Flex

    Use a spudger to detach the main interconnect cable connector from the bottom charging sub-board.

    Disconnect Coaxial Antenna Cable

    Grasp the metal head of the coaxial antenna cable near the sub-board using tweezers. Pry it straight upward to unseat it from its snap connector.

    Remove Daughterboard Screws

    Remove the remaining Phillips #00 screws holding the daughterboard down to the lower frame housing.

    Lift Out Damaged Board

    Insert a spudger under the edge of the charging port sub-board. Carefully pry it out of its plastic recess.

    Position New Daughterboard

    Align the replacement charging board into the lower frame cutout. Ensure the USB-C port lines up cleanly with the outer frame cutout.

    Fasten Daughterboard Screw

    Reinstall the Phillips #00 screw to hold the new charging board firmly in place against the housing.

    Snap Antenna Cable

    Align the coaxial antenna cable connector directly over its socket on the daughterboard. Press down gently with the flat end of a spudger until it snaps into place.

    Connect Interconnect Flex

    Position the interconnect flex cable connector over its daughterboard socket and press down firmly until you feel a click.

    Reconnect Battery Flex

    Press the battery flex connector straight down onto its motherboard socket to restore circuit continuity.

    Seat Speaker Enclosure

    Lower the speaker enclosure back over the lower sub-board area, ensuring the alignment pins seat properly into the frame.

    Tighten Speaker Screws

    Reinsert and tighten all Phillips #00 screws into the speaker cover to secure the lower sub-assembly.

    Snap Back Cover

    Align the rear cover with the phone body and press around the outer edges. Continue pressing until all perimeter clips snap firmly closed.

    Reinsert SIM Tray

    Slide the SIM card tray back into the card slot until it sits completely flush against the phone's side profile.
