   Turn Off Phone

   Press and hold the power button, then select Power Off on the screen. Ensure the device is fully powered down before proceeding.

   Eject SIM Tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the hole on the side of the phone. Push firmly until the tray pops out, then pull it out completely.

   Heat Back Cover Edges

   Apply mild heat around the perimeter of the back cover for two minutes using a heat gun or hair dryer. This softens the internal adhesive tape.

   Insert Opening Pick

   Press a thin plastic opening pick into the gap between the plastic frame and the back panel near the bottom edge.

   Unclip Back Cover

   Slide the plastic pick around all sides of the phone to release the retaining clips and slice through adhesive.

   Gently lift the rear cover away from the chassis. Set it aside on a clean surface.

    Insert a spudger under the edge of the original charging port daughterboard and lift it out of the frame.

    Place the replacement daughterboard into the recess, making sure it aligns with the alignment pins.
