Eject the SIM Tray
1 minInsert a SIM eject tool into the hole on the left edge of the phone. Push firmly to eject the tray and remove it completely.

Heat the Back Cover
2 minApply heat around the perimeter of the back cover for 2 minutes using a heat gun or hair dryer to soften the adhesive.

Insert an Opening Pick
2 minPry gently between the plastic back cover and frame near the SIM slot using a plastic pick to create a small gap.

Slice Around the Perimeter
3 minSlide the opening pick around all four edges of the back cover to release the plastic clips and adhesive.

Remove the Back Cover
1 minLift the back cover off the body of the phone and place it aside.

Unscrew the Motherboard Cover
2 minUse a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the screws holding the plastic motherboard shield in place.

Detach the Motherboard Cover
1 minInsert a spudger under the motherboard shield and gently pry it up to remove it from the device.

Unscrew the Speaker Housing
2 minRemove the Phillips #00 screws securing the loudspeaker assembly at the bottom of the phone.

1 minPry the battery press-connector straight up from the motherboard using a plastic spudger.

1 minLocate the display flex cable on the motherboard and disconnect it using the flat end of a spudger.

Heat the Display Glass
3 minWarm the front screen edges evenly for 2 to 3 minutes to loosen the screen display adhesive.

Attach the Suction Cup
1 minPlace a suction cup onto the lower third of the front screen and press down to seal it.

Pry the Screen Open
3 minPull up on the suction cup while inserting a plastic opening pick between the display glass and frame.

Slice Screen Adhesive
4 minSlide the pick around all edges of the screen to cut through the remaining display adhesive.

Remove the Damaged Screen
2 minLift the screen away from the frame, carefully guiding the display flex cable through its frame slot.

Clean the Frame Margins
3 minScrape off residual glue from the frame ledge using a spudger and clean it with isopropyl alcohol on a cloth.
