   Power Off Phone

   Press and hold the power button on the right edge, then tap Power Off on the screen. Ensure the device is fully shut down before proceeding.

   Remove Outer Grip Band

   Use your fingernail or a plastic pry tool at the bottom corner notch to peel off the rubberized accent band from the phone's perimeter.

   Eject SIM and SD Trays

   Remove any installed MicroSD card and SIM card from the side slots using your fingers or tweezers.

   Remove Rear Housing Screws

   Use a T5 Torx screwdriver to remove all 14 screws securing the rear midframe to the chassis.

   Unclip Midframe Assembly

   Insert a plastic opening tool into the seam between the front frame and the inner rear midframe. Slide the tool along the edges to release all plastic retention clips.

   Insert a plastic opening pick underneath the battery to slice through the light adhesive securing it to the frame. Lift the battery out of the device.

   Disconnect Display Flex Cable

   Use the edge of a spudger to lift up the retaining flap on the display ZIF connector, then slide the display flex cable out of its socket.

   Remove Motherboard Screws

   Remove the single T5 Torx screw holding the motherboard to the front assembly frame.

    Lift Out Motherboard

    Gently lift the motherboard from its lower edge and tilt it up to remove it from the display chassis. Set the motherboard aside on an anti-static mat.

    Heat Front Display Glass

    Apply heat to the front glass edges using a heat gun set to low for 2 minutes to soften the screen adhesive.

    Apply Suction Cup

    Press a suction cup firmly onto the upper half of the display glass to create a tight seal.

    Slice Screen Adhesive

    Pull up on the suction cup while inserting a plastic opening pick into the gap between the glass and the bezel. Slide the pick around all four edges to cut through the adhesive.

    Remove Damaged Screen

    Separate the display assembly from the frame, carefully threading the flex cable through the slot in the chassis.

    Clean Frame Perimeter

    Scrape away old adhesive residue from the inner bezel frame using tweezers, then clean the perimeter with isopropyl alcohol and a lint-free cloth.

    Apply Pre-Cut Adhesive Strips

    Peel the backing off new double-sided adhesive strips and align them firmly along the internal edges of the front frame.

    Install Replacement Screen

    Thread the new display flex cable through the frame slot and press the screen firmly into the prepped frame bezel.
