Power off the phone
1 minPress and hold the power button, then select Power Off on the screen to shut down the device completely.

Remove the plastic accent band
2 minInsert a fingernail or plastic prying tool into the notch on the side and peel the outer accent band off the chassis.

Remove SIM and microSD cards
1 minSlide out any installed SIM card and microSD card from their slots along the edge of the device.

Unscrew the midframe Torx screws
4 minUse a Torx T3 screwdriver to remove the screws holding the rear midframe to the front housing assembly.

Pry open the midframe clips

Separate the rear midframe

Disconnect the battery cable

2 minGently pry up the display press connector from its socket on the logic board using a spudger.

Disconnect the digitizer cable
2 minUse a spudger to flip up the small locking flap on the ZIF socket, then pull the digitizer ribbon cable straight out.

Disconnect the headphone jack assembly
2 minPry up the audio jack flex cable connector from the top section of the logic board.

Unseat the front camera module
2 minDisconnect the front camera press connector and use precision tweezers to lift the camera module out of its recess.

Unseat the rear camera module
2 minDisconnect the rear camera connector from the logic board and gently lift the camera out using tweezers.

Unscrew the logic board retaining screws
3 minRemove the remaining Torx T3 screws securing the logic board to the inner frame.

Remove the logic board
3 minCarefully lift the bottom edge of the logic board and tilt it upward to remove it completely from the phone frame.
