Power Off the Device

2 minUnscrew the Phillips #00 screws securing the bottom speaker and loudspeaker assembly.

Detach the Speaker Module
1 minPry up the lower speaker housing using a plastic opening tool and set it aside.

Disconnect the Battery Cable
1 minUse the flat end of a spudger to pry the battery connector straight up off its motherboard socket to cut power.

Unplug the Display Cable
1 minLocate the main display flex cable on the motherboard. Pry its press connector straight up with a spudger.

Heat the Screen Edges
3 minApply heat evenly along all four outer edges of the front glass using a heat gun or hair dryer on low for 2 minutes to soften the screen adhesive.

Attach Suction Cup to Glass
1 minPress a suction cup firmly onto the lower portion of the front screen glass to create a tight seal.

Slice Display Adhesive
4 minPull up on the suction cup to create a small gap between the glass and the midframe. Insert a thin plastic opening pick into the gap and slide it along the perimeter.

Lift Display Panel
2 minSlowly pivot the damaged screen assembly off the frame from the top down.

Remove Display Flex Cable from Slot
1 minGuide the display flex cable carefully through the frame cutout as you lift the screen entirely away from the chassis.

Scrape Remaining Frame Adhesive
4 minUse tweezers and isopropyl alcohol on a microfiber cloth to scrape off leftover adhesive and glass particles from the perimeter frame.

Apply New Frame Adhesive
3 minLay pre-cut double-sided adhesive strips along the recessed edges of the phone frame, pressing firmly to secure them.

Thread New Display Cable
2 minThread the flex cable of the new screen panel down through the cutout slot in the chassis.

Press New Screen into Frame

Snap Back Cover Shut
