   Power off the phone

   Press and hold the power button on the right side. Tap 'Power Off' on the screen and wait for the device to fully shut down.

   Eject the SIM card tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the small hole on the left side of the phone. Push firmly until the tray pops out, then remove it.

   Create a gap in the rear cover

   Insert a thin plastic prying pick into the seam between the back cover and the display frame near the SIM tray slot.

   Unclip the perimeter of the back cover

   Slide the plastic pick along all four edges of the device to disengage the internal plastic clips holding the cover.

   Partially lift the rear cover

   Gently lift the back cover off the chassis starting from the bottom edge, taking care not to strain the fingerprint sensor cable.

   Disconnect the fingerprint sensor flex cable

   Use a plastic spudger to pry up the press-fit connector for the fingerprint reader flex cable from the motherboard.

   Remove the back cover

   Lift the rear cover away from the chassis completely and set it aside in a safe location.

   Unscrew the lower speaker housing

   Use a Phillips #000 screwdriver to remove the screws securing the lower loudspeaker cover to the frame.

   Pry up the lower speaker housing

   Insert the flat end of a spudger beneath the loudspeaker module and gently pry it up from the chassis.

    Remove the speaker module

    Lift the speaker module clear of the frame and set it aside.

    Disconnect the main ribbon cable

    Use a plastic spudger to detach the main interconnect ribbon cable connector from the charging port daughterboard.

    Disconnect the coaxial antenna cable

    Gently pry up the antenna cable head from the lower daughterboard using precision tweezers.

    Remove the daughterboard screw

    Unscrew the single Phillips #000 screw securing the charging port daughterboard to the phone frame.

    Remove the old charging port daughterboard

    Insert a spudger underneath the edge of the daughterboard and gently lift it out of the housing.

    Clean the daughterboard seating area

    Moisten a cotton swab with isopropyl alcohol and clean off any accumulated dirt or debris from the daughterboard recess.

    Position the new charging port board

    Align the replacement charging port board over its recess in the lower frame and press it gently into place.

    Fasten the daughterboard screw

    Reinsert and tighten the Phillips #000 screw to hold the new daughterboard securely to the frame.

    Reconnect the coaxial antenna cable

    Align the antenna cable head over its socket on the daughterboard and press down firmly until it snaps into place.

    Attach the main ribbon cable

    Align the interconnect ribbon connector over the daughterboard socket and press straight down until it clicks.

    Reinstall the lower speaker housing

    Place the loudspeaker module back into position over the daughterboard, pressing down lightly so it sits flush.

    Secure the speaker screws

    Reinsert and tighten all Phillips #000 screws to firmly secure the speaker housing.

    Reconnect the fingerprint sensor cable

    Hold the back cover near the phone and press the fingerprint sensor flex connector onto its motherboard socket.

    Snap the rear cover into place

    Align the rear cover with the chassis and press firmly along all edges until all internal clips click shut.

    Reinsert the SIM card tray

    Slide the SIM card tray back into its slot on the left edge of the phone until flush with the body.
