   Power down the device

   Press and hold the power button on the LG V60 ThinQ 5G, then tap Power Off on the screen. Ensure the device is fully shut down before proceeding.

   Eject the SIM card tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool or paperclip into the small hole on the top edge of the phone. Push firmly to eject the tray, then remove it completely.

   Heat the rear glass cover

   Use a heat gun or hair dryer on low setting to apply heat around all outer edges of the rear glass for 2-3 minutes. This softens the factory adhesive holding the cover in place.

   Attach a suction cup to the back cover

   Place a suction cup on the lower third of the rear glass panel and press down firmly to create a seal.

   Slice the rear adhesive

   Pull up on the suction cup to create a small gap at the bottom edge, then insert a thin plastic opening pick. Slide the pick around all four edges to slice through the adhesive.

   Remove the rear glass

   Lift the rear glass carefully off the frame once all adhesive is sliced. Set the back panel aside on a clean workspace.

   Unscrew the upper midframe cover

   Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the screws holding the upper plastic midframe and wireless charging pad in place.

   Remove the wireless charging assembly

   Gently insert a spudger under the top midframe cover and pry up to unclip it from the chassis.

   Disconnect the battery cable

   Locate the battery connector on the motherboard and use a plastic spudger to pop it straight up from its socket.

    Unscrew the bottom speaker housing

    Remove the Phillips #00 screws securing the plastic speaker cover module over the bottom charging port assembly.

    Remove the speaker housing

    Insert a plastic pry tool beneath the lower speaker module and lift it out of the phone body.

    Disconnect the antenna coaxial cables

    Use fine tweezers or a spudger to carefully unclip the black and white antenna cable heads from the daughterboard near the charging port.

    Disconnect the charging port ribbon cable

    Use the flat end of a spudger to detach the main interconnection ribbon cable from the charging port board.

    Unscrew the charging port board

    Remove the remaining Phillips #00 retaining screws holding the USB-C daughterboard to the frame.

    Pry out the old charging port assembly

    Gently insert a spudger beneath the daughterboard edge and lift the damaged charging port out of its recess.

    Set the new charging port in place

    Position the new USB-C charging port board into the lower frame cutout, aligning the port opening correctly.

    Secure the new board with screws

    Reinstall and tighten the Phillips #00 screws to hold the replacement charging port board firmly in place.

    Reconnect antenna cables and main flex

    Snap the main flex ribbon cable press connector back into place, then carefully snap the coaxial antenna cables onto their board headers.

    Reconnect the battery

    Press the battery connector down onto the motherboard terminal until you hear a soft click.

    Reinstall the bottom speaker housing

    Place the speaker cover module over the lower assembly and secure it with its Phillips #00 screws.

    Reinstall the upper midframe shield

    Snap the upper wireless charging assembly back into the chassis and replace all retaining screws.

    Apply new rear cover adhesive

    Clean remaining old glue from the frame using isopropyl alcohol, then lay down pre-cut adhesive strips along the outer perimeter.

    Seal the rear glass

    Align the rear glass cover with the frame, press down evenly along all edges to seat the adhesive, and reinsert the SIM card tray.
