Power Off the Device

Create an Opening Gap
1 minPull up firmly on the suction cup handle to create a slight gap between the glass and the midframe.

Insert Plastic Opening Pick
1 minInsert a thin plastic opening pick into the gap created at the bottom edge.

Slice Rear Glass Adhesive
3 minSlide the pick around all four edges of the phone to cut through the perimeter adhesive.

1 minPry beneath the loudspeaker housing with a spudger to lift and detach it from the frame.

Disconnect Coaxial Antenna Cables
2 minUse precision tweezers to unsnap the black and white coaxial antenna cables from the bottom board.

Disconnect Main Interconnect Flex Cable
1 minPry the main motherboard interconnect flex cable straight up from the lower microphone daughterboard.

Remove Defective Microphone Board
2 minGently insert a flat spudger under the microphone sub-board to break the underlying adhesive and lift it out.

Install New Microphone Board
2 minPlace the replacement microphone sub-board into the lower chassis alignment frame and press it down firmly.

Reconnect Flex and Antenna Cables
2 minPress the interconnect flex connector onto the sub-board and re-attach the coaxial antenna cable connectors.
