Power Down Device

Heat Rear Glass
2 minApply a heat gun to the edges of the rear glass cover for two minutes to soften the adhesive underneath.

Attach Suction Cup
1 minPlace a suction cup near the bottom edge of the rear glass and press firmly to create a seal.

Insert Opening Pick
2 minPull up gently on the suction cup and slide a plastic opening pick into the gap created at the bottom edge.

Slice Bottom Adhesive
3 minSlide the opening pick carefully along the bottom seam to cut through the factory adhesive.

Slice Side Adhesive
3 minMove the pick around the left and right corners, cutting through the side adhesive strips.

Remove Rear Glass Cover
2 minLift the rear glass panel away from the frame and set it aside in a safe area.

Unscrew Upper Midframe
3 minUse a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the ten screws securing the wireless charging pad and upper midframe.

2 minInsert a spudger under the edge of the wireless charging assembly and lift it off the chassis.

1 minPry the battery press-connector straight up from the motherboard using a nylon spudger.

2 minRemove the five Phillips #00 screws holding the lower speaker module to the frame.

2 minLever the plastic speaker enclosure up and lift it away from the bottom of the device.

1 minUse the flat end of a spudger to detach the main ribbon cable connected to the USB sub-board.

2 minGently unclip the black and white coaxial antenna heads from the USB sub-board using tweezers.

Unscrew USB Sub-board
1 minRemove the single Phillips #00 screw anchoring the USB sub-board to the phone frame.

Pry Up USB Sub-board
2 minSlide a flat prying tool under the USB board and carefully lever it out of its recessed slot.

Install New USB Sub-board
2 minPosition the new USB sub-board into the bottom chassis recess and press down firmly.

Reconnect Antenna Cables
2 minAlign and snap the coaxial antenna cables onto their corresponding connectors on the new sub-board.

2 minAlign the glass back cover with the frame and press evenly along all edges to seal the phone.
