   Power Off Phone

   Press and hold the Power button, then tap Power Off on the screen. Ensure the device is completely powered down before beginning.

   Eject SIM Card Tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the hole next to the tray on the side of the device. Push firmly until the tray pops out, then remove it.

   Heat Rear Glass Edges

   Apply a heat gun or heated iOpener along the perimeter of the back cover for 2 to 3 minutes. This softens the waterproof adhesive securing the rear panel.

   Attach Suction Cup

   Place a suction cup near the bottom edge of the back cover. Pull upward firmly to create a slight gap between the glass and the body.

   Slice Rear Panel Adhesive

   Insert an opening pick into the gap created by the suction cup. Slide the pick around all four edges to cut through the perimeter adhesive.

   Lift Rear Glass

   Gently lift the right edge of the rear glass like a book cover. Do not pull it away completely yet, as the fingerprint sensor cable remains attached.

   Disconnect Fingerprint Flex Cable

   Use the flat end of a spudger to pry the fingerprint sensor connector straight up from the motherboard. Set the rear glass aside.

   Unscrew Wireless Charging Assembly

   Remove the ten Phillips #00 screws holding the wireless charging coil and upper midframe shield in place.

   Remove Wireless Charging Coil

   Insert a spudger under the top edge of the plastic midframe and lift the wireless charging assembly out of the phone.

    Disconnect Battery Cable

    Pry the battery connector directly up from the motherboard using a plastic spudger. This cuts power to prevent electrical shorts during repair.

    Unscrew Loudspeaker Module

    Remove the five Phillips #00 screws securing the bottom loudspeaker assembly over the microphone board.

    Remove Loudspeaker Module

    Pry up the loudspeaker module using a spudger and remove it from the bottom of the frame.

    Disconnect Sub-Board Flex Cables

    Use a spudger to disconnect the main interconnect flex cable and display flex cable from the sub-board.

    Disconnect Antenna Cables

    Carefully unclip the black and white coaxial antenna cables from the sub-board using fine tweezers.

    Remove Microphone Sub-Board

    Insert a spudger beneath the sub-board containing the primary microphone port and gently lever it out of the phone housing.

    Install New Microphone Sub-Board

    Align the new sub-board in the lower chassis recess and press down firmly to set it in place.

    Reconnect Cables and Antennas

    Snap the interconnect flex cables back onto the sub-board and reattach the two coaxial antenna cables to their terminals.

    Reinstall Loudspeaker and Midframe

    Position the loudspeaker and wireless charging coil back over their respective areas, then tighten all 15 Phillips #00 screws.

    Reseal and Reattach Rear Cover

    Clean remaining adhesive with isopropyl alcohol, apply new rear adhesive, reconnect the fingerprint flex cable, and press the back glass firmly sealed.
