   Power off the device

   Press and hold the power button, then tap Power Off on the screen. Ensure the device is fully shut down before proceeding.

   Eject the SIM tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the hole on the side of the phone. Push firmly to eject the SIM card tray and remove it.

   Heat the rear glass edges

   Apply heat to the edges of the back cover using a heat gun for about two minutes. Softening the perimeter adhesive makes glass removal easier.

   Attach suction cup

   Place a suction cup on the lower portion of the rear glass cover. Pull up gently on the handle to create a small gap.

   Insert an opening pick

   Insert a thin plastic opening pick into the gap created by the suction cup. Do not insert it deeper than 3 millimeters to avoid damaging internal components.

   Slice perimeter adhesive

   Slide the opening pick around all four edges of the rear cover. Reapply heat if the adhesive becomes tough to cut.

   Disconnect fingerprint sensor flex

   Slightly lift the rear cover to access the fingerprint sensor ribbon cable underneath. Use a spudger to gently pop off the press connector.

   Remove the rear cover

   Lift the rear glass cover completely off the phone body. Place it on a clean, soft surface.

   Unscrew upper motherboard shield

   Remove the ten Phillips #000 screws securing the plastic upper cover and wireless charging coil. Keep screws organized by size.

    Remove upper shield and coil

    Pry up the upper plastic shield using a spudger. Lift the assembly along with the wireless charging pad out of the frame.

    Unscrew lower loudspeaker module

    Remove the five Phillips #000 screws securing the bottom speaker housing. These screws keep the speaker assembly fixed over the port board.

    Remove loudspeaker housing

    Insert a spudger under the edge of the loudspeaker assembly. Lift and remove the module to reveal the charging port sub-board.

    Disconnect the battery flex

    Pry up the battery press connector from the mainboard using a spudger. Disconnecting power prevents short circuits during repair.

    Disconnect charging port main ribbon

    Use a spudger to detach the main ribbon cable connector from the charging port board. Gently tilt the connector up to release.

    Disconnect antenna coaxial cables

    Use fine tweezers to carefully pry up the white and blue antenna cable heads from the port board. Lift straight up to avoid damaging the sockets.

    Unscrew charging port sub-board

    Remove the single Phillips #000 screw holding the charging port assembly to the frame. Set the screw aside safely.

    Pry up damaged charging port board

    Insert a plastic spudger beneath the charging port board edge. Gently pry up to break any underlying adhesive and lift the board out.

    Clean port housing recess

    Use isopropyl alcohol on a cotton swab to clean residual adhesive or dirt from the sub-board recess. Ensure the area is dry before installing the new component.

    Position new charging port assembly

    Place the replacement charging port board into the frame recess. Align the USB-C port carefully with the cutout in the frame.

    Secure port board screw

    Reinsert and tighten the Phillips #000 screw to hold the charging port board firmly in place. Do not overtighten.

    Reconnect antenna coaxial cables

    Align the antenna cable connectors over their sockets on the new port board. Press down gently with tweezers or a spudger until they snap into place.

    Attach charging port flex cable

    Align the main flex connector over its socket on the port board. Press firmly until it clicks into place.

    Reconnect battery flex cable

    Align and press down the battery ribbon cable connector onto the mainboard socket. Ensure a secure connection.

    Reinstall loudspeaker housing

    Set the loudspeaker module back into place over the lower assembly. Secure it using the five Phillips #000 screws removed earlier.

    Reinstall upper shield assembly

    Place the upper motherboard shield and wireless charging pad back on the chassis. Fasten the ten Phillips #000 screws.

    Reconnect fingerprint sensor ribbon

    Hold the rear cover close to the frame and snap the fingerprint sensor connector back onto the mainboard.

    Apply adhesive and seal rear glass

    Apply new custom pre-cut adhesive to the perimeter of the rear frame. Press the back glass firmly onto the frame to seal the device.
