Step-by-step

Power Off Device
1 minPress and hold the Power button, then tap Power Off on the screen. Ensure the device is fully shut down before proceeding.

Eject SIM Tray
1 minInsert a SIM eject pin or paperclip into the hole next to the SIM tray on the top edge. Push firmly to pop the tray out, then remove it completely.

Heat Rear Panel
3 minApply a heat gun or hair dryer evenly along all four edges of the back glass for 2-3 minutes to soften the adhesive.

Attach Suction Handle
1 minPress a suction cup firmly onto the lower portion of the rear glass near the bottom edge. Pull up gently on the ring to create a small gap.

Slice Glass Adhesive
4 minInsert a thin plastic opening pick into the gap created by the suction cup. Carefully slide the pick around all sides to slice through the perimeter adhesive.

Lift Away Rear Glass
1 minGently lift the back glass off the chassis. Set it aside on a clean surface.

Remove Midframe Screws
3 minUse a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove all 10 visible screws holding the upper midframe and lower speaker housing in place.

Pry Off Wireless Charging Pad
2 minInsert a plastic spudger beneath the top edge of the upper plastic cover featuring the wireless charging coil. Pry up gently to unclip and remove it.

Remove Speaker Module
2 minInsert the flat end of a spudger under the bottom speaker enclosure. Pry up carefully to detach it from the phone frame.

Disconnect Battery Cable
1 minLocate the battery flex cable on the right side of the main board. Use the plastic spudger to pry the connector straight up from its socket.

Disconnect Rear Cameras
2 minUse your spudger to gently pop up the two press-fit connectors for the primary and wide-angle rear camera sensors.

Disconnect Front Camera
1 minPry up the small press-fit connector for the front-facing camera module located near the top left corner of the logic board.

Disconnect Display Flex
1 minLocate the main display cable connector on the lower right portion of the logic board and pry it straight up to disconnect.

Disconnect Sub-Board Flex
1 minUnplug the interconnect flex cable connecting the logic board to the bottom USB-C/audio assembly.

Remove Motherboard Screw
1 minUse a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the single securing screw located near the top center of the logic board.

Remove Logic Board
2 minGently grasp the logic board by the top edges and pivot it upward out of the chassis. Carefully lift it free from the phone.
