   Power off device and remove SIM card tray

   Turn off the phone completely. Insert a SIM eject tool or paperclip into the hole on the right side to eject the tray.

   Heat the rear glass cover edges

   Apply a heat gun or hair dryer around the outer edges of the rear glass for 2 minutes to soften the internal adhesive.

   Attach suction cup to lower rear glass

   Place a suction cup near the bottom edge of the back cover and pull upward gently to create a slight gap.

   Create a gap with an opening pick

   Insert a thin plastic opening pick into the seam between the glass back panel and the metal outer frame.

   Slice the adhesive around the perimeter

   Slide the pick slowly along all four edges of the device to cut through the perimeter adhesive. Reheat if resistance increases.

   Tilt open the back glass panel

   Gently lift the left edge of the back glass, opening it like a book. Do not pull it away completely yet.

   Disconnect the fingerprint sensor flex cable

   Use a spudger to pop the fingerprint sensor press-connector off the motherboard, then remove the back glass.

   Unscrew the upper midframe and wireless coil

   Remove the ten Phillips #00 screws securing the upper motherboard shield and attached wireless charging coil.

   Lift off the wireless charging midframe

   Insert a spudger under the edge of the plastic midframe shield and gently pry it out of the chassis.

    Unscrew the bottom loudspeaker module

    Remove the five Phillips #00 screws holding the lower speaker enclosure over the charging daughterboard.

    Pry up and remove the loudspeaker assembly

    Insert a flat tool under the speaker housing edge and lift the module straight up out of the phone.

    Disconnect the main flex cable from daughterboard

    Use the flat end of a spudger to unclip the ribbon cable connector from the top edge of the USB board.

    Unclip the antenna coaxial cables

    Use precision tweezers to carefully pop the black and white coaxial cable connectors off the charging board.

    Pry out the old USB charging port board

    Wedge a plastic opening tool under the charging port board and pry it loose from the frame adhesive.

    Clean adhesive residue from the frame channel

    Apply a drop of isopropyl alcohol to a swab and wipe away old adhesive remnants from the lower frame recess.

    Insert the new charging port daughterboard

    Align the replacement USB daughterboard into the frame recess and press down firmly to set it in place.

    Reconnect the antenna cables to the new board

    Snap the black and white coaxial cables onto their matching surface heads on the daughterboard using tweezers.

    Attach the main flex cable to the new board

    Align the interconnect ribbon connector over its socket on the new board and press down firmly until it snaps.

    Reinstall and screw down the loudspeaker housing

    Set the speaker module back into position over the port board and replace the five Phillips #00 screws.

    Secure the upper midframe and wireless coil

    Place the top shield assembly back onto the motherboard and reinstall the ten Phillips #00 screws.

    Reconnect the fingerprint sensor cable

    Hold the back glass near the phone and press the fingerprint sensor flex connector back onto the motherboard socket.

    Apply new back cover adhesive pre-cut strip

    Peel the protective film off the new adhesive gasket and lay it precisely around the frame perimeter.

    Press the back cover firmly onto the frame

    Align the rear glass panel with the frame edges and press firmly along all sides to seal the adhesive.
