Step-by-step

Eject SIM Tray
1 minInsert a SIM eject tool into the hole on the left edge of the phone to pop out the card tray. Remove the tray completely.

Heat Rear Cover
2 minUse a heat gun on low heat for two minutes along the outer edges of the glass rear panel to soften the adhesive.

Attach Suction Cup
1 minPlace a suction cup on the lower portion of the rear glass and pull gently upward to create a slight gap.

Insert Opening Pick
1 minSlide a thin plastic opening pick into the gap created between the back glass cover and the metal frame.

Slice Rear Adhesive
3 minSlide the plastic pick around all four edges of the phone to cut through the perimeter adhesive seal.

Disconnect Fingerprint Sensor
2 minCarefully tilt the back glass to the side and use a spudger to detach the fingerprint sensor flex cable from the motherboard.

2 minInsert a flat spudger underneath the bottom loudspeaker module and pry up to detach it from the chassis.

Clean Old Adhesive
3 minDampen a microfiber cloth with isopropyl alcohol and scrape away leftover adhesive strips from the metal frame.

Position New Loudspeaker
1 minAlign the replacement loudspeaker assembly with the lower recess inside the phone chassis.

Press Speaker Into Place
1 minPress down firmly on the loudspeaker assembly until it snaps securely into place against the internal frame contacts.

Reinstall Upper Shield
2 minSet the wireless charging cover back onto the upper portion of the motherboard and press it flat.
