   Power off the phone

   Press and hold the power button, then select Shut Down on the screen. Ensure the device is fully powered off before starting.

   Remove the SIM tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the hole on the right side of the phone. Push firmly to eject the tray and remove it.

   Heat the rear glass

   Use a heat gun or hair dryer on low heat to warm the outer edges of the rear glass for about two minutes. This softens the factory adhesive underneath.

   Attach the suction cup

   Press a suction cup firmly onto the lower half of the rear glass near the USB-C port. Pull upward gently to create a tiny gap between the glass and frame.

   Insert an opening pick

   Insert the tip of a plastic opening pick into the gap created by the suction cup. Slowly slide the pick along the bottom edge to slice the adhesive.

   Slice perimeter adhesive

   Carefully guide the opening pick around the side and top edges of the rear glass. Reapply heat if the adhesive becomes resistant.

   Lift off the rear glass

   Gently lift the rear glass off the phone chassis. Note that the power button contacts interface via spring pins, so no ribbon cable attaches the glass directly to the board.

   Unscrew the midframe cover

   Use a Phillips #000 screwdriver to remove the ten screws securing the plastic midframe and wireless charging coil assembly.

   Remove the midframe shield

   Insert the flat end of a spudger under the top edge of the plastic midframe shield. Pry gently to unclip and remove it from the device.

    Disconnect the battery flex

    Use the edge of a spudger to pry the battery press connector straight up from its motherboard socket. This prevents electrical shorts during repair.

    Unseat the power button module

    Use fine tweezers to gently lift the power button flex module and metal bracket out of its housing inside the upper frame.

    Clean adhesive surfaces

    Moisten a lint-free cloth with isopropyl alcohol and wipe away residual adhesive from the frame mating surface.

    Install the new power button module

    Place the replacement power button and flex bracket into the frame recess. Ensure the contact pads align properly with the spring contacts.

    Reconnect the battery flex

    Align the battery press connector over its socket and press down firmly until it snaps into place.

    Reattach the midframe shield

    Position the plastic wireless charging midframe over the motherboard. Press firmly to snap the clips into place, then reinstall the ten Phillips screws.

    Apply new glass adhesive

    Align pre-cut back glass adhesive strips onto the perimeter of the phone chassis and peel off the protective backing.

    Seal the rear glass

    Align the rear glass over the frame and press firmly around all edges. Apply mild heat for one minute to ensure a tight bond.
