   Power Off the Device

   Press and hold the power button on the back of the LG V30s ThinQ, then tap Power Off on the screen. Ensure the device is fully shut down before proceeding.

   Eject the SIM Tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool or thin paperclip into the hole next to the SIM tray on the right edge. Press firmly to eject the card tray and set it aside.

   Heat the Rear Glass

   Apply a heated iOpener or heat gun around the edges of the back cover for two minutes to soften the perimeter adhesive.

   Attach a Suction Cup

   Place a suction cup on the lower half of the rear glass and press down firmly to secure a tight grip.

   Insert an Opening Pick

   Pull up on the suction cup to create a gap between the glass and the metal frame, then insert a plastic opening pick into the gap.

   Slice Bottom Edge Adhesive

   Slide the opening pick carefully along the bottom edge of the phone to cut through the factory adhesive.

   Slice Side Edge Adhesive

   Guide the pick around the bottom corners and up both side edges of the phone, reheating the glass if you feel resistance.

   Slice Top Edge Adhesive

   Slide the opening pick across the top edge near the camera module to finish separating the rear glass adhesive.

   Remove the Rear Glass

   Gently lift the rear glass off the phone body and set it aside carefully.

    Unscrew Midframe Screws

    Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the 10 screws securing the upper wireless charging frame and lower speaker assembly.

    Remove Wireless Charging Frame

    Insert a spudger under the top plastic midframe containing the wireless charging coil and lift it out of the chassis.

    Remove Loudspeaker Module

    Pry up the lower speaker housing with a plastic opening tool and lift it out of the device.

    Disconnect the Battery

    Use the flat end of a plastic spudger to pry the battery connector straight up from the motherboard socket.

    Apply Adhesive Remover

    Apply a few drops of high-purity isopropyl alcohol along the side edges of the battery to dissolve the tough adhesive beneath it.

    Pry Up the Battery

    Insert a flat plastic opening tool under the side of the battery and carefully lever it upward from the recess.

    Remove the Old Battery

    Lift the degraded battery out of the frame and set it aside for proper recycling.

    Clean Battery Recess

    Wipe down the interior battery well with a lint-free cloth dampened with isopropyl alcohol to remove old adhesive residual.

    Install New Battery Adhesive

    Peel the backing off new battery adhesive strips and lay them flat into the battery well in the chassis.

    Set New Battery in Place

    Position the new replacement battery in the recess and press down firmly to secure it against the adhesive strips.

    Connect the Battery Cable

    Align the battery flex connector over the socket on the motherboard and press down firmly until it snaps into place.

    Reattach Loudspeaker Module

    Place the lower speaker assembly into its recess and press gently until it sits flush against the housing.

    Reinstall Wireless Charging Frame

    Set the wireless charging panel back over the upper motherboard and press down gently to align the clips.

    Secure Midframe Screws

    Reinstall and tighten the 10 Phillips #00 screws to hold the upper midframe and lower speaker module firmly in place.

    Apply Rear Glass Adhesive

    Clean the old glass adhesive from the frame edges, then apply new pre-cut adhesive around the outer border of the chassis.

    Seal the Rear Glass

    Align the back glass cover with the frame and press firmly along all edges to create a strong adhesive seal.

    Reinsert SIM Tray

    Slide the SIM and microSD card tray back into its slot on the right side of the phone until it locks flush.
