   Remove the SIM and MicroSD Card Tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool or straightened paperclip into the hole on the right edge of the frame. Eject and remove the card tray.

   Heat the Rear Glass Panel

   Apply a heat gun set to low temperature across the outer perimeter of the back cover for two minutes to soften the adhesive.

   Apply Suction Cup to Rear Glass

   Press a suction cup onto the lower third of the rear glass. Pull upward gently to create a small gap between the glass and the body.

   Slice Perimeter Adhesive

   Insert an opening pick into the gap created by the suction cup. Slide the pick around all four edges to slice through the adhesive seal.

   Lift and Remove Rear Glass

   Carefully lift the rear glass off the frame. Use a plastic spudger to disconnect the fingerprint sensor cable attached to the interior if necessary.

   Unscrew Midframe Fasteners

   Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the ten 4.0 mm screws securing the midframe and wireless charging pad.

   Remove Wireless Charging Midframe

   Insert a plastic spudger under the edge of the plastic midframe shield and gently pry it up and out of the phone chassis.

   Disconnect the Battery Cable

   Locate the battery flex connector on the right side of the motherboard. Pry it straight up with a plastic spudger to disconnect power immediately.

   Disconnect Camera and Display Flex Cables

   Use your spudger to unclip the front camera, rear dual-camera module, and main display flex connectors from the motherboard.

    Lift Out the Motherboard

    Gently lift the top edge of the motherboard and tilt it up to clear the frame, then remove it completely from the phone.

    Inspect Components for Corrosion

    Examine the motherboard, flex connectors, and housing under good lighting for white or green mineral corrosion deposits.

    Scrub the Motherboard with Isopropyl Alcohol

    Submerge or heavily soak the motherboard in 99% isopropyl alcohol. Use a soft brush to gently scrub away all visible corrosion from components and connectors.

    Clean Connectors and Internal Chassis

    Dip a brush or cotton swab into 99% isopropyl alcohol and scrub liquid residue from the internal frame, speaker assembly, and daughterboard.

    Dry Components Completely

    Use compressed air to blow liquid out from beneath surface-mount components, then allow all parts to air-dry for at least 30 minutes.

    Reinstall Motherboard and Connectors

    Place the motherboard back into the frame, aligning the ports, then reconnect the display, camera, and battery flex cables securely.

    Reassemble Midframe and Seal Back Glass

    Snap the wireless charging midframe back into place, install the ten Phillips screws, apply new perimeter adhesive, and press the rear glass down firmly.
