   Power off device and remove SIM tray

   Turn off your LG V30 completely. Insert a SIM eject tool into the tray hole on the right edge to pop out the SIM and microSD tray.

   Heat the rear glass cover

   Apply a heated iOpener or heat gun to the edges of the back glass cover for 2 to 3 minutes. This softens the factory adhesive holding the rear panel.

   Attach suction cup to rear glass

   Place a suction cup near the bottom edge of the rear glass cover. Pull up firmly on the ring to create a small gap between the glass and the phone frame.

   Insert opening pick into the gap

   Insert a thin plastic opening pick into the gap created by the suction cup. Do not insert the pick too deep to avoid damaging internal components.

   Slice perimeter adhesive

   Slide the opening pick along the bottom, sides, and top edges of the phone to cut through the back glass adhesive. Reapply heat if the pick becomes stuck.

   Remove the back glass

   Gently lift the back glass off the chassis. Clean off any residual adhesive sticking to the inner rim using a spudger.

   Unscrew midframe shield fasteners

   Use a Phillips #00 driver to remove the ten 4.0 mm screws securing the plastic midframe upper shield and bottom loudspeaker housing.

   Remove top antenna shield

   Insert a spudger under the top right edge of the plastic upper frame. Pry upward to release the clips and lift the shield out.

   Disconnect the battery flex cable

   Use the flat end of a spudger to pop the battery connector straight up off its motherboard socket. This prevents short circuits while replacing parts.

    Pry up lower loudspeaker module

    Insert a spudger under the bottom edge of the speaker assembly housing. Pry gently to release the clips and remove the loudspeaker module.

    Remove speaker component from housing

    Use tweezers to carefully lift the individual speaker unit out of its plastic housing cavity if replacing only the driver element. Skip this if replacing the whole module.

    Install the new speaker unit

    Press the new replacement speaker into the housing cavity until it sits flush. Ensure the contact pads are clean and properly aligned.

    Reinstall loudspeaker housing assembly

    Align the speaker assembly module over the bottom section of the phone frame. Press down firmly along the edges until it snaps securely into place.

    Reconnect battery and upper shield

    Press the battery flex connector back onto the motherboard. Reposition the upper antenna shield and snap it into place over the board.

    Secure all ten Phillips screws

    Reinsert and tighten the ten 4.0 mm Phillips #00 screws around the top and bottom midframe sections until snug.

    Apply new adhesive and reattach back glass

    Apply pre-cut replacement adhesive tape along the perimeter frame. Align the back glass over the phone chassis and press firmly along all edges to seal.
