   Power off the LG V20 Mini

   Press and hold the power button, then tap Power Off on the screen to shut down the device completely.

   Eject the SIM and microSD tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the tray hole on the side and push firmly to pop out the card tray.

   Use a heat gun or hair dryer on a low setting around the back cover edges for two minutes to soften the adhesive.

   Attach a suction cup near the bottom, lift slightly, and insert a plastic opening pick into the gap to slice through the adhesive.

   Lift off the rear cover

   Gently lift the back cover straight up from the phone body and set it aside.

   Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove all visible screws securing the midframe chassis.

   Insert a plastic spudger under the midframe edge and pop it free from the chassis clips.

   Pry up the battery press-fit connector from the motherboard using a plastic spudger.

    Carefully lift the top edge of the motherboard up and pull it away from the chassis.

    Use tweezers to lift out the earpiece speaker and vibration motor from their recessed slots.

    Warm the perimeter of the cracked front screen for two minutes using your heat gun.

    Slice screen perimeter adhesive

    Apply a suction cup to the front screen, insert a thin pick beneath the glass, and slide around all four sides.

    Separate damaged screen panel

    Carefully lift the old display panel away from the front frame, feeding the flex cables through the frame slot.

    Clean frame adhesive residue

    Scrape off leftover glue and wipe the metal frame clean using isopropyl alcohol and a lint-free cloth.

    Apply double-sided adhesive strips

    Line the rim of the frame with double-sided repair adhesive, peeling off the protective backing strips.

    Seat new screen onto frame

    Thread the new display flex cable through the frame slot and press the screen firmly into the chassis adhesive.

    Reinstall components and motherboard

    Place the earpiece speaker and vibration motor back into position, then align and lower the motherboard into the frame.

    Reconnect display and battery cables

    Snap the display flex cable, front camera, and battery connector securely onto their motherboard sockets.

    Reattach midframe and back cover

    Reinstall the midframe, drive in all Phillips screws, and press the rear cover firmly down to seal it.
