   Power Off Phone

   Press and hold the power button, then select Power Off on the screen. Ensure the device is completely powered down before proceeding.

   Eject SIM Tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the small hole on the SIM tray slot. Press firmly to pop the tray out, then slide it out completely.

   Heat Rear Cover

   Apply heat from a heat gun on low power along the outer edges of the rear panel for two minutes. This softens the perimeter waterproof adhesive.

   Attach Suction Cup

   Place a suction cup near the bottom edge of the glass back cover. Pull upward on the ring gently to create a slight gap along the seam.

   Insert Opening Pick

   Slide a plastic opening pick into the gap created between the glass rear cover and the frame. Do not insert it more than 3 mm to avoid internal damage.

   Slice Rear Adhesive

   Slide the pick around all four perimeter edges of the phone to cut through the sticky seal. Apply extra heat if you encounter strong resistance.

   Remove Rear Panel

   Lift the rear panel off the chassis once all adhesive is sliced. Set the glass panel aside on a soft, clean surface.

   Unscrew Midframe Screws

   Use a Phillips #000 screwdriver to remove the 10 screws securing the plastic midframe. Organize the screws in a tray so none are lost.

   Pry Off Midframe Shield

   Insert a plastic spudger into the notch on the midframe perimeter. Carefully pry up to release the plastic clips and remove the shield.

    Disconnect Battery Flex

    Pry the battery press connector straight up from its motherboard socket using a spudger. Disconnecting the battery prevents accidental electrical shorts.

    Disconnect Display Flex

    Use the flat end of a spudger to detach the main display and digitizer flex cables from the upper motherboard.

    Remove Motherboard Screws

    Unscrew the single Phillips #000 screw holding the motherboard to the top frame assembly.

    Remove Motherboard

    Gently lift the motherboard from the bottom edge and remove it from the frame. Set it on an anti-static mat.

    Peel Power Button Flex

    Use fine tweezers to gently peel the damaged power button flex cable away from the inner side rail. Clean off old adhesive residue using isopropyl alcohol.

    Install New Power Flex

    Align the new power button flex key with the frame notch and press it down to stick. Ensure the contact pads lie flat against the recessed channel.

    Reinstall Motherboard

    Carefully lower the motherboard back into place, taking care not to trap any flex cables beneath it. Fasten the single Phillips screw.

    Reconnect Connectors

    Snap the display flex connector and battery cable back into their respective motherboard sockets until they click firmly.

    Secure Midframe Shield

    Snap the plastic midframe back onto the housing and reinstall the 10 Phillips #000 screws evenly.

    Reseal Rear Cover

    Apply a new pre-cut adhesive gasket along the frame border, press the rear panel onto the chassis, and hold firm pressure for 30 seconds.
