   Turn Off the Device

   Press and hold the power button, then tap Power Off on the screen. Ensure the device is fully shut down before proceeding.

   Eject SIM and MicroSD Tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the hole on the side of the device. Push firmly to pop the tray out, then remove it completely.

   Heat the Rear Glass

   Use a heat gun or hair dryer on low setting to warm the outer edges of the rear glass for 2 minutes. This softens the factory adhesive holding the back panel.

   Attach Suction Cup

   Place a suction cup on the lower half of the rear glass near the edge. Pull upward steadily to create a small gap between the glass and the body.

   Slice the Back Cover Adhesive

   Insert a thin plastic opening pick into the gap created by the suction cup. Slide the pick around all four edges to slice through the adhesive.

   Remove Rear Glass Panel

   Carefully lift the rear glass panel away from the frame. Set it aside on a clean, soft surface.

   Unscrew Midframe Fasteners

   Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove all visible screws securing the internal plastic midframe. Keep track of each screw location.

   Pry Off the Midframe

   Insert the flat end of a spudger under the edge of the plastic midframe. Carefully pry upward around the perimeter to release the plastic clips and remove it.

   Disconnect the Battery

   Locate the battery connector on the motherboard. Use a plastic spudger to gently pop the press connector straight up.

    Disconnect Sub-Board Flex Cables

    Use a spudger to disconnect the main display and daughterboard flex cables attached near the bottom of the phone.

    Unscrew the Daughterboard

    Remove the remaining Phillips screws securing the lower daughterboard assembly to the housing.

    Lift Out Daughterboard

    Insert a spudger beneath the daughterboard and gently lift it out of the lower chassis.

    Apply Liquid Flux

    Apply a small amount of liquid soldering flux to the anchor pins and contact pads of the damaged USB-C port.

    Desolder the Old Port

    Apply a hot soldering iron tip with desoldering braid to absorb solder from all anchor pins and data pads. Carefully lift the port off with tweezers.

    Clean the Circuit Pads

    Clean remaining solder from the board pads using fresh desoldering braid, then wipe the area clean with isopropyl alcohol.

    Solder the New Port

    Position the new USB-C port precisely over the board pads. Solder each anchor pin and contact pad securely, ensuring no solder bridges form.

    Reinstall the Daughterboard

    Place the repaired daughterboard back into the chassis and tighten its retaining Phillips screws.

    Reconnect Cable Connectors

    Snap the sub-board flex cable and battery connector back into their respective sockets on the motherboard.

    Reattach the Midframe

    Align the midframe cover over the components, press down until it snaps in place, and reinstall all perimeter screws.

    Apply fresh pre-cut adhesive strips to the housing rim, align the rear glass, and press firmly around all edges to seal.
