   Power Down the Device

   Press and hold the power button, then tap Power Off to turn off the phone completely before beginning.

   Eject the SIM Tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the small hole on the card tray and press firmly to eject it.

   Heat the Rear Cover

   Apply a heated iOpener or heat gun to the edges of the rear cover for two minutes to soften the adhesive.

   Attach a Suction Cup

   Place a suction cup near the bottom edge of the rear panel and pull upward to create a slight gap.

   Insert an Opening Pick

   Slide an opening pick into the seam created between the rear glass cover and the side frame.

   Slice Bottom Adhesive

   Slide the opening pick along the bottom edge to slice through the adhesive holding the cover.

   Guide opening picks along the left and right sides to separate the remaining perimeter adhesive.

   Remove Rear Cover

   Gently lift the rear panel off the phone frame and place it safely aside.

   Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove all visible screws securing the internal midframe shield.

    Pry Off Midframe Shield

    Insert the flat end of a spudger under the edge of the plastic midframe shield and lift it away.

    Pry the battery press connector straight up from the motherboard using a plastic spudger.

    Apply a few drops of high-concentration isopropyl alcohol along the edges of the battery well.

    Allow the alcohol to soak for two minutes to weaken the glue beneath the battery.

    Insert Plastic Opening Card

    Slide a thin plastic opening card under the side edge of the battery cell.

    Gently pry upward with the card to detach the battery from the chassis without bending it.

    Wipe away leftover adhesive residue from the battery compartment using isopropyl alcohol and a cloth.

    Align the glass rear panel with the frame and press firmly along all edges to form a tight seal.

    Reinsert SIM Tray
